Care of cutlery
In order to keep your cutlery in its original appearance, follow these guidelines even if you use the dishwasher :
- rinse cutlery after use to remove food residue, even if you plan to wash it later,
- place the cutlery in the dishwasher in the designated basket, with the blade facing upwards and the other parts also facing upwards,
- the cutlery must always be in an upright position in the dishwasher so that the water residue can run off after rinsing,
- choose a shorter wash cycle or dry the cutlery by hand after the cycle to prevent rust stains caused by food or detergent residues,
- if cutlery is left in the hot and humid environment of the dishwasher for too long, it can also corrode.
Keep in mind that a prerequisite for the cutlery not to corrode is that you allow it to form a so-called "passivation layer" on the surface. This is ensured by following the above principles and you will enjoy nice cutlery for a long time.
