The grinding stone is suitable for all Berndorf knives, except damascus knives. Each side of the stone has a different grit. The coarser side is for removing minor damage to the blade and the finer side is used to restore the blade. A handy base for the sharpening stone is included, it is made of plastic and catches water when sharpening. The base has a non-slip pad that holds the base securely on the table surface.
