Description

A dessert knife is most commonly used when dining and then eating food, as an aid to dividing the food, usually when eating an appetizer. It consists of a handle and a blade. The knife can be made as a monoblock - one piece made of material marked 13/0, or made of two parts where the handle is usually made of 18/10 material and the blade of 13/0 material. The blade is hardened and then serrated to ensure its cutting function. Due to its generally smaller size compared to the Table Knife, it can be used for children. Total length 200 mm.

The Dessert Knife is an excellent addition to your 24 piece or 30 piece Alpha cutlery set. Alpha cutlery is for lovers of simple and clean design. Movable shapes and high gloss surfaces make Alpha cutlery a top piece for any dining setting. The cutlery is of sturdy quality and has a sophisticated design so that it sits well in the hand.

Care of cutlery

To ensure that your cutlery retains its original appearance, follow these guidelines even if you use the dishwasher :

  • rinse cutlery after use to remove food residue, even if you plan to wash it later,
  • place the cutlery in the dishwasher in the designated basket, with the blade facing upwards and the other parts also facing upwards,
  • the cutlery must always be in an upright position in the dishwasher so that the water residue can run off after rinsing,
  • choose a shorter wash cycle or dry the cutlery by hand after the cycle to prevent rust stains caused by food or detergent residues,
  • if cutlery is left in the hot and humid environment of the dishwasher for too long, it can also corrode.

Keep in mind that a prerequisite for the cutlery not to corrode is that you allow it to form a so-called "passivation layer" on the surface. This is ensured by following the above principles and you will enjoy nice cutlery for a long time.
