We care about the environment. At Berndorf, we have been striving to be environmentally friendly and environmentally friendly since 2012. From the beginning, we have been separating waste, especially electronic waste, with particular attention to old batteries and toners.

In our warehouses we use a fully electronic fleet combined with an electronic system for loading and unloading goods, which makes our warehousemen both faster and more environmentally friendly. The year 2018 was a breakthrough in terms of the company's environmental policy. Under the pressure of increasing information about the pollution of the planet by plastic packaging, we have decided to reduce its use as much as possible. We have therefore made a commitment to convert all our product packaging to fully recyclable by 2025. It was not an easy decision. It will cost us a lot of work and a lot of money to develop, but we believe it makes sense.

Today is February 2021 and we are very pleased to present our customers with the next step towards improving the environment. We said in 2018 that we were also looking to the future in an eco-friendly way, and we have gradually fulfilled another of our promises by introducing new packaging for our cutlery sets. Gradually, we are already wrapping some models from the chrome nickel cutlery range in new and beautiful packaging, which is slowly making its way to our customers. We ask our valued customers for their patience and acceptance of the transition period, when some sets are still packed in the old design and gradually we are packing the other sets in the new packaging. our dear customers are pleased and proud of this fact and we hope you will appreciate this move and enjoy this good deed with us. We have protected our dear planet EARTH from 365 kg of unnecessary plastic per year. We care about the satisfaction of our customers and we also care about the cleanliness of the environment.

We are proud to be an environmentally responsible company. In 2023, we also collected, recovered and recycled waste and contributed to saving greenhouse gas emissions.

For our efforts in sustainability, environmental protection and social responsibility, we were awarded the ENVI - PAK certificate.

This certificate is a testament to our continuous efforts to find innovative ways to minimize our ecological footprint.

BERNDORF Profiline knives _ECO packaging

Just as we decided in 2018 that we were looking to the future and going green, we have designed new "eco-friendly packaging" for our Profiline knives. We designed them to be made entirely from recyclable material so they don't put a strain on the environment. The commitment was fulfilled and the new "eco packaging" saw the light of day this autumn 2020 and immediately went on sale. What we are most pleased about is the fact that the price of the product in the new "eco-packaging" has remained the same and the increased costs in development and production have not been passed on to the customer. Dear our customers, we hope that you will appreciate this step and rejoice with us that we are working together to improve the environment. The old packaging, which is reaching the end of its life, also contained a clear plastic blister. I hope you will understand us if there is still a product on sale in the old packaging, but believe us, the number of old packaging is decreasing day by day.

With this step, we have lightened our planet by 767 kg of plastic packaging per year.

We are constantly developing and searching for new organic products. Our customers are very happy with the stainless steel straws, which were a hit last year. We are very pleased that we were able to become the exclusive importer of the groundbreaking ECO BURNER Chafo chafing straw last year. The ECO BURNER Chafo is a gas burner whose unique design allows for the complete replacement of conventional chafing heaters with wicks and gels. It thus overcomes the problems associated with these traditional methods. The main benefits include a special mixture of gases that does not have an unpleasant odour.
