Elegance and design

Berndorf pans have a timeless design. The Black Granite range has a black marble surface and an elegant black handle. The Black Cube line features a beautiful black surface with a honeycomb pattern and a bear graphic of the Berndorf Sandrik logo in the middle of the pan. The black colour contrasts sharply with the stainless steel rim and stainless steel handle.

Versatile use

Both pans are suitable for all types of heating, including induction. When buying for the home or as a gift, you don't have to think about the type of heating used. Another great advantage is that the food prepared in these pans can be cooked in the oven at a maximum temperature of 260°C.

It is precisely because of the possibility of oven roasting that the Black Graniterange has hasa removable handle. The handle removal system is very simple with the push of a red button. The ability to take the handle off also has another practical purpose in the form of easier storage or placement in the dishwasher.

The special surface of the Black Cube pan allows the use of metal tools without damaging the non-stick surface.

Quick maintenance and long service life

Berndorf pans have a non-stick surface. This allows food to be prepared with a minimum of fat without burning. As no burns are caused, cleaning is very easy. Both the Black Granite and Black Cube series are dishwasher safe. With proper care, these pans will be a companion in your kitchen for many years.

Innovative materials and technology

Berndorf uses the highest quality materials in the manufacture of the pans to ensure temperature stability and optimum temperature distribution around the entire perimeter.

The Black Granite range is characterised by its durable non-stick coating made of PTFE (Polytetrafluoroethylene). This is water-based, heated to 380⁰C, safe and non-toxic. The food on the said surface does not stick, evenly overcooks and thus retains its taste.

The Black Cube line will be introduced in the following sections:

  • The surface of the pan is non-stick and at the same time non-scratchable - by any object during handling, thus the pan has a longer lifetime, steel tools can also be used for cooking.
  • It is a pan made of three materials, sometimes called "3ply" or "multiplay", where the outer layer is made of material for induction heating (stainless steel 18/0), in the middle is aluminum (conducts heat evenly) and inside is stainless steel 18/10 with a non stick layer.
  • The pan, has a very low energy requirement - low energy consumption (only recommended on small heat sources with gradual heating of the pan).
  • Easy to clean inside and out.
  • Handle-pan connection designed so that it does not transfer heat from the pan to the handle when heated.
  • Very strong and stable construction, also resistant to high temperature and physical stress.

A little piece of Switzerland hidden in central Slovakia. This is what you could call the Salamandra Resort in Hodrus-Hamry. Above the hotel stretches a ski slope and right in front of it lies the Hornohodrušský tajch. Those who want to combine silence, the charm of greenery for walks and swimming in the open air will certainly find the right atmosphere here. We, however, came to hunt for a new secret recipe from master chef Robert Hudak. In his own words, Robo is living the American dream. He started out in the kitchen on a cruise ship and fortune has been with him from the start. He befriended a Slovakian chef, and he and his colleagues mentored, taught and perfected his cooking. After a few years as a chef, he was already running his own kitchen on the ship. He finished his world cruise after 4 years and anchored alongside Executive Chef Martin Korbelic in the kitchen of Salamadra Resort. When cooking, he enjoys learning and perfecting new gastronomy, but always comes back to simplicity, beauty and good tasting food. He revealed to us the recipe for the most requested dish for an evening beer - Beef Tenderloin Tartare with Roasted Garlic Puree.
